This week’s Barna Minute looks at brand new data to explore if seniors (U.S. adults 55+) feel valued by society.
According to recent research in Barna’s new report Aging Well, today’s seniors feel their generation has a lot to contribute to society. However, when it comes to their individual value and how others view their generation, seniors aren’t as confident.
Data shows that half of seniors (52%) strongly agree “My generation has a lot to contribute to the world.” To a lesser degree, they answer “I can make a positive impact on society" (30% agree strongly), and to a far lesser degree, they believe “I feel valued by society” (21% agree strongly) and “other generations value my generation” (18% agree strongly).
